CMC-Union: As a part of the larger Carolinas HealthCare System, CMC-Union is comprised of a day surgery center, cancer treatment center, long-term care facility, behavioral health center, home health services, and outpatient specialty care clinics. The hospital, which maintains 227 beds, is in the process of a $57 million expansion of maternity and pediatrics care.
CMC Waxhaw: CMC-Waxhaw provides a 24-hour emergency department, physician practices, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory services.

Universities and Colleges
Wingate (Main Campus): Wingate University is a private comprehensive university with nearly 2,700 students on three campuses in Wingate, Charlotte and Hendersonville, in North Carolina. The university offers 25 undergraduate degrees, Master's degrees in Business, Education, Sport Management, Physician Assistant Studies, Accounting and Doctorates in Pharmacy, Education and Physical Therapy.
Wingate - Ballantyne Campus: Located in the Ballantyne Corporate Park and surrounded by 250 companies with more than 13,000 employees, the 13, 657 square facility provides educational offerings that include MBA, graduate programs in sport management and education, an undergraduate program for working adults, and other professional and continuing education programs.
SPCC: South Piedmont Community College is a comprehensive community college with more than 90 programs, including high quality transfer programs designed to help you succeed at the university level. The college also provides relevant and current workforce programs taught with state-of-the-art equipment by highly qualified faculty and Early College programs.
UNC Charlotte: UNC Charlotte, the 4th largest UNC campus, is dedicated to excellence in teaching, practical research, and expert public service. Major components of the University include the Charlotte Research Institute, Center for Advanced Manufacturing, Center for Precision Metrology and the Engineering Production and Infrastructure (EPIC) Center.
CPCC Levine: As Central Piedmont Community College's closest satellite campus to Union County, CPCC Levine services over 10,000 students and is home to the 25,000 square foot Joe Hendrick Center for Automotive Technology.
Charlotte Douglas International Airport: Charlotte Douglas International Airport ranks 6th in the world based on the volume of airport activity and is the 8th largest airport in the nation based on passenger totals. It is also the 23rd largest airport worldwide based on passenger totals and 7th worldwide for total operations. Home to 6 major airlines, the airport provides 734 daily flights to 142 destinations, including 26 international locations.
Charlotte-Monroe Executive Airport: Charlotte Monroe Executive Airport is the primary corporate airport in the Charlotte Region. With 7,000 feet of runway space, the airport can accommodate all corporate aircraft and will be accepting international flights at the new U.S. Customs facility in 2014.
Port of Wilmington: The Port of Wilmington is strategically located on the U.S. East Coast. Owned and operated by the North Carolina State Ports Authority, the Port of Wilmington offers terminal facilities serving container, bulk and breakbulk operations. Wilmington is one of the few South Atlantic ports with readily available berths and storage areas for containers and cargo. The Port is a C-TPAT certified location and is designated as Foreign Trade Zone 66.
Port of Charleston: The nation's fourth busiest container port, handling more than $3 million in cargo every hour and offering direct service to more than 140 countries around the world. The Port of Charleston features 5 major facilities with various capabilities: Wando Welch, North Charleston, Columbus Street, Union Pier and Veterans.
Port of Savannah: The Port of Savannah specializes in the handling of container, reefer, breakbulk and RoRo cargoes. The port includes the Garden City Terminal and the Ocean Terminal. Garden City Terminal is Savannah's ultramodern, dedicated container terminal. At 1,200 acres, it's North America's largest single-terminal container facility. The 200 acre Ocean Terminal is a combination breakbulk and RoRo facility handling forest and solid wood products, steel, automotive and heavy equipment, project shipments and heavy-lift cargoes.
