Retention & Expansion

Union County is home to a vibrant mix of manufacturing firms representing sectors ranging from aerospace and advanced metals to plastics and automotive. It is the goal of the Business Retention & Expansion program at Monroe-Union County Economic Development to retain and grow the nearly 200 existing manufacturing firms already located within Union County.

We accomplish this through an aggressive program of visitation, seminar offerings, circulation of a manufacturing-focused newsletter, and the publication of our bi-annual Existing Industry Handbook.  We work hard to stay informed of the latest market-driven needs of our manufacturers and help them respond by mobilizing all available public resources.  We are dedicated to being a true partner in their continued success here in Union County.
